Details (Landscaping Trainee):

• Successful candidates undergo 1-year training under the scheme.
• After completing the program, candidates receive a permanent employment offer with the Edo State Government.

Job Description​

• Perform analysis and compile estimations and specifications for the land, including examining drainage and runoff patterns.
• Assist the Government with budget management and project oversight.
• Restore and preserve natural areas, such as wetlands and streams.
• Maintain and clean various landscape areas.
• Support and uphold landscaping design standards.
• Plan and design the introduction of new bushes, flowers, plants, and shrubs.
• Supervise maintenance repairs for equipment, landscape structures, outdoor furniture, and walkways.
• Provide advisory services to the Government on landscape maintenance.
• Collaborate with garden designers and landscape architects to ensure Government satisfaction with the projects.

Qualifications​

• Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Minimum of Second Class Lower from a reputable institution.
  • HND: Minimum of Lower Credit from a reputable institution in a related field.
• TOPREC Registration: Evidence of registration is advantageous.
• NYSC Certificate: Candidates must possess NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
• Computer Literacy: Candidates must be proficient in using computers.
• Interpersonal and Leadership Skills: Good interpersonal and leadership skills are required.
• Teamwork: Ability to effectively work in teams is necessary.
• Age Limit: Applicants must be within the ages of 22-30.
• CAD&GIS Experience: Experience in using CAD&GIS Tools will be an added advantage.
