Details (Architect Trainee):
- Successful candidates undergo 1-year training under the scheme.
- After completing the program, candidates receive a permanent employment offer with the Edo State Government.
Job Description
- Engage in building design activities
- Collaborate with sponsors, beneficiaries, and allied professionals to assess project requirements and feasibilities
- Develop designs and specifications for public buildings
- Conduct inspections of new developments, projects, or building conversions for compliance with the Masterplan
- Manage architectural firms or consultants contracted by the State for executing Masterplan elements
- Review and approve private sector designs in alignment with the Masterplan
- Periodically educate the public on Masterplan details and its significance in adhering to it.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (minimum of Second Class Lower) or HND (minimum of Lower Credit).
- Master’s Degree in Architecture and ARCON registration are advantageous.
- NIA registration is also advantageous.
NYSC Certification:
- Candidates must possess NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
Skills and Abilities:
- Computer literacy is required.
- Good interpersonal and leadership skills are necessary.
- Ability to effectively work in teams.
Age Limit:
- Applicants must be within the age range of 22-30.
Additional Advantages:
- Experience in CAD&GIS Tools is beneficial.
