SECURITY COORDINATOR AT NESTOIL PLC

In your role as a Security Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure smooth running of day-to-day activities of Internal & External Security Operatives and report to Security Manager daily.
  • Identify and document training needs of individual security employees.
  • Conduct discreet investigations of reported cases and hand over to appropriate security agencies.
  • Submit weekly Surveillance Report on illegal activities or encroachment on Obijackson Group’s unused properties.
  • Report any noticed Security Incidents or imminent threats to Security Manager within Company Operational areas.
  • Supervise deployment and administration of Government Security Forces (GSF) troops, reporting to Security Manager.
  • Process payments to GSF and Local Security providers.
  • Ensure good conduct of security personnel at assigned duty posts.
  • Coordinate and provide escorts for land and water movements.
  • Supervise armed security personnel for Expat Staff escorts.
  • Compile weekly/monthly Security Statistical reports for Security Manager.
  • Conduct induction/orientation for newly employed security operatives.
  • Coach and supervise security operatives.
  • Receive security complaints and take appropriate actions.
  • Ensure strict compliance with security rules, standards, and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Report Security Incidents or imminent threats to Security Manager within Company Operational areas.
  • Submit detailed security reports to Security Manager.
  • Comply with safe work methods and adhere to HSE policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor/line Manager.

What are we looking for

  • Minimum qualifications: HND/BSc in a related field
  • Retired Armed Forces/Police membership is advantageous
  • IISSN (Institute of Industrial Security and Safety of Nigeria)
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role required
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Proficient in Nigerian security regulations and laws
  • Alert, smart, and proactive
  • Strong integrity and character
  • Attention to detail
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Leadership and command abilities
  • Proficient in team management
  • Skilled in report writing and presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Time management proficiency
  • MS Office Suite proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Emphasis on order, quality, and accuracy
