The scholarship program aligns with international development goals and operates under the framework of the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP). It serves as a testament to the UK’s longstanding commitment to the Commonwealth by attracting talented individuals from diverse backgrounds and supporting them in becoming leaders and innovators in their home countries.

Through this program, the CSC combines sustainable development with the UK’s national interests, fostering international partnerships and collaboration. The Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships provide financial assistance to exceptional individuals who would otherwise be unable to afford studying in the UK, enabling them to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for sustainable development.
