Details (Engineering Trainees):
- Successful candidates undergo 1-year training under the scheme.
- After completing the program, candidates receive a permanent employment offer with the Edo State Government.
Job Description
- Collaborate with senior engineers on urban and regional masterplans.
- Assist in planning, designing, and executing infrastructural projects while ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
- Conduct research and analyze data related to urban development, housing initiatives, and infrastructure systems.
- Evaluate existing infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and recommend suitable solutions.
- Participate in site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and adherence to specifications.
- Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and project proposals as part of the project team.
- Learn and use advanced technology tools and software in relevant engineering disciplines.
- Contribute to the creation of detailed engineering drawings, plans, and specifications for infrastructure projects.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and external partners for successful project completion.
- Prioritize safety protocols and standards to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel involved.
Qualifications

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (minimum Second Class Lower) or HND (minimum Lower Credit) in one of the following disciplines:
- Civil Engineering
- Structural Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree (minimum Second Class Lower) or HND (minimum Lower Credit) in one of the following disciplines:

Proficiency in using engineering design software:
- AutoCAD
- ETABS
- STAAD Pro
- Revit
- Equivalent software

Additional Advantages:
- Registration with relevant professional body
- Strong interest in urban planning, housing development, and regional development
- Solid understanding of engineering principles, concepts, and practices within respective disciplines

Mandatory Requirements:
- Possession of NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate
- Computer literacy
- Good interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in teams

Age Criteria:
- Applicants must be within the ages of 22-30.

Experience Advantage:
- Experience in the use of CAD&GIS Tools.
