PROGRAM DETAILS
The scholarships are a collaborative effort between the China Scholarship Council (acting on behalf of the Chinese Ministry of Education) and the University of Oxford. Additionally, the China Scholarship Council-PAG Oxford Scholarships provide financial support for exceptional Chinese students pursuing doctoral studies in the Social Sciences, Mathematical, Physical, and Life Sciences at the University of Oxford.

ELIGIBILITY
In order to qualify for the 2023 China Scholarship Council-University of Oxford Scholarships, candidates must fulfill the requirements listed below:
- You must be applying for a full-time DPhil course at Oxford.
- You must be a mainland Chinese national and resident, excluding Hong Kong and Macau. Additionally, you should have the intention of returning to China upon finishing your studies.
- Scholarships will be granted based on your academic achievements, potential to become a leader in your chosen field, and potential to shape opinions and decisions within China.
- Those who possess deferred offers for the 2023-24 term will not be considered for these scholarship opportunities.
PROGRAM BENEFITS
Recipients of the scholarship will receive 100% coverage of tuition fees, a living allowance of at least £17,668, and a return flight from China to the UK. Awards are granted for the full duration of the recipient’s fee liability for the selected course.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
To qualify for this scholarship, it is necessary to submit your application for graduate study by the deadline specified for your course, which typically falls in December or January. You can find out the applicable deadline for your course on the Courses page.
In addition to the application for graduate study, you must also apply separately for the China Scholarship Council (CSC) scholarship. You can find more information about this scholarship scheme on the CSC’s Scheme introduction webpage.
Please keep in mind that the CSC may follow different procedures for its other scholarship programs. Once the Chinese Ministry of Education approves the selection of new scholars, successful applicants will be notified.
