Job Description

Perform field surveys using specialized tools and equipment:
- Total stations
- GPS receivers
- Laser scanners

Measure and acquire precise data regarding:
- Land boundaries
- Contours
- Elevations
- Other physical features

Determine and establish property boundaries
-
Conduct on-site measurements
-
Create accurate topographic maps by:
- Collecting data on land features
- Using the information to produce detailed plans and maps

Provide precise measurements and markers to guide the layout and positioning of:
- Buildings
- Roads
- Utilities
- Other infrastructure

Ensure compliance with design plans and specifications

Process and analyze survey data using specialized software and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools

Interpret data to create reports, drawings, and digital models accurately representing the surveyed area

Prepare survey reports, boundary descriptions, and plans to establish property boundaries and meet regulatory requirements

Verify compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and land-use restrictions
-
Conduct quality checks on surveying equipment, measurements, and data to ensure accuracy and reliability

Consider environmental factors (e.g., soil conditions, drainage patterns, ecological features) when conducting surveys and providing recommendations for land use and development projects.
Qualifications

Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree: Minimum Second Class Lower in Surveying / Geoinformatics.
- HND (Higher National Diploma): Minimum Lower Credit in Surveying / Geoinformatics.

Additional Advantage:
- Evidence of NIS (Nigerian Institute of Surveyors) registration.

Mandatory Requirements:
- Possession of NYSC (National Youth Service Corps) Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
- Age Requirement: Applicants must be within the ages of 22-30.

Skills and Abilities:
- Computer Literacy is a must.
- Good Interpersonal and Leadership Skills.
- Ability to effectively work in teams.

Preferred Experience:
- Experience in using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) & GIS (Geographic Information System) Tools is an added advantage.
